David Howell
Chief Executive Officer
David manages our global reinsurance and retrocession business. He has over 35 years’ experience in life reinsurance, having held a variety of senior roles with Swiss Re and Mercantile & General Reinsurance, covering various aspects of both traditional and non-traditional reinsurance within the US, Canada, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Europe. Under David’s leadership, we have grown from a niche reinsurer to a significant player in the global reinsurance market with material and increasing market shares in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.
Paul Lewis
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Paul directly oversees the Divisional Business Services across Pacific Life Re, including operations, research & development, corporate actuarial and finance. He has been with Pacific Life Re since its establishment, supporting the global growth across the various territories, including PL Re becoming a leading reinsurer in the UK longevity and protection markets.
Michelle Moloney
Executive Vice President | Capital Solutions
Michelle is the Executive Vice President for our Capital Solutions line of business and is responsible for the strategic direction of growing this business globally as well as sourcing Inforce insurance blocks in North America for Pacific Life Re. Previously, Michelle was the Chief Risk Officer in charge of overseeing risk management activities across Pacific Life Re and managed the second line risk management activities and the governance and validation of our economic capital models.
Julie Evans
Chief Information Officer
Julie is the Chief Information Officer for Pacific Life Re and is responsible for defining and delivering the global IT strategy. Julie works to provide oversight and direction to IT and business leaders to improve our operational delivery and enable a cohesive global business strategy.
Andrew Gill
Executive Vice President | Protection
Andrew leads the global Protection business. Prior to taking this role, Andrew was Managing Director for our Asia and Australia business units. In 2015 he established our Australia office which has since gone from strength to strength. Under his leadership, the office has grown rapidly to become a leader reinsurer in that market. In Asia Andrew has overseen strong growth and we now have offices in Singapore, Korea and Japan servicing clients across 9 countries.
Phill Beach
Executive Vice President | Savings & Retirement
Phill heads up our Savings & Retirement business which includes existing longevity reinsurance and global funded solutions (GFS) business. Phill joined us in 2017 as Head of Pricing for our Europe business unit and has extensive experience in leading teams in the Bulk Annuities, Retail Annuities and Retail Protection markets.
Paola Parsons
Senior Vice President | International Head of HR
Paola joined Pacific Life Re in 2025. She brings with her extensive experience gained in the global financial services sector including responsibility for HR strategy, board and executive remuneration, reward strategy, succession planning, talent management and organisational design. Paola is instrumental in delivering our global human resources transformation as well as fostering a workplace where employees can thrive.
Tony Tong
Chief Risk Officer
As Chief Risk Officer, Tony oversees risk management activities across Pacific Life Re. Prior to this role, Tony held various leadership roles across Pacific Life Re’s European, Asian and Australian businesses covering areas including operations, finance and corporate actuarial.
