Pacific Life Re announces new appointments in Asia to strengthen regional partnerships

Pacific Life Re, a leader in the life and health reinsurance industry, announces two new appointments in Asia, reinforcing its focus on strengthening client partnerships and delivering tailored solutions across the region.

Wallace Ong, who has successfully managed the Southeast Asia and China protection teams for the past 18 months, has taken the opportunity to transition into a newly created role as head of Business Proposition and Enablement, Protection, Asia. In this capacity, Ong will focus on strengthening the company’s value proposition and accelerating market readiness across Asia. This strategic move reflects the company’s broader regional ambition to deepen its regional presence and deliver greater value to its partners.

Succeeding Ong, Spenser Chen has been appointed head of SEA, Protection, Asia. With over 15 years’ experience across consulting, insurance and reinsurance markets in Southeast Asia, Japan, and the United Kingdom, Chen will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deepen client partnerships, deliver market-specific solutions, and strengthen the company’s presence in the region.
